Chapter 8
Your videos and privacy (social media, family on camera)
What you can post, who owns the videos, and what to do when others are on camera
On this page
Posting on social media
- Feel free to share that you earn Sampo points by recording chores.
- OK to post
- Screens from the Sampo app
- Screenshots of the recording app (Minute Data)
- The test recording you made in the Sampo app
- Don't post
- Videos you recorded in the recording app (the ones you submit)
- The name or logo of the company that receives the videos
- What the videos are used for (like training AI and robots)
- Never share your org code or any TestFlight link.
How your videos are used, and who owns them
- Your videos go to an AI and robotics company in the U.S., where they're used to train AI and robots.
- When you submit a video, its rights transfer to us. Videos you've already submitted may not be deletable.
When family or housemates are on camera
- Get permission first from anyone who might appear in your video.
- If someone doesn't agree, keep them out of the shot.
- Never film minors. Don't record their faces or voices.
- Keep these out of the shot: PINs, passwords, and card numbers; documents, screens, addresses, or anything else that identifies someone; and nudity, sexual content, or violence.
- Always watch your video before you submit it. If something slipped in, don't upload it. If you notice after submitting, delete it right away (see section F of Use the Minute Data app) and email support@sampo.cash.
- If you submit a video that breaks these rules and it causes a dispute with someone in it, you're responsible for resolving it (Campaign terms, Article 9).
